The Superior Gene
Book 1 - Jason
Source of The Gene |
The Superior Gene is a Trilogy. Book
One is set
at the beginning of the twenty second century and is the story of Jason, tall, fit, apparently about
thirty and with abilities that make him pretty special and not a bit scary to
some. He is an illegal experiment and consequently secretive and afraid of discovery.
However, mankind is not doing too well and perhaps Jason is the way forward.
Working for some years in space, Jason is forced to the conclusion that it is
time he returned to Earth to try to rebuild his life - but are there those that
wish him ill and would do him harm if they could track him down?
The World is similar to today ... and yet very different too - and not always in a good
way. Some of both the similarities and the differences are set to make life
difficult for Jason. He tries to move forward in a positive way that will
resolve problems for both himself and for mankind - so why would anyone want to
stop him? Is it just his paranoia, or is the danger as real as it seems?

The Superior Gene
Book 2 - Louise
Progress of The Gene |
Louise is the second
book of the Superior Gene trilogy.
Jason's genes continue as Louise,
herself genetically modified during the
events in Book One, gives birth to
Jason's son, Justin. The story begins on
the day of his sixth birthday when he is
already exhibiting remarkable talents -
some exciting and some disturbing.
Much more is revealed about those who
sought Jason and perhaps now Justin too,
as well of a lot more of their
continuing machinations that still
threaten all of those in the story.
Find out what happens to the good guys
as they keep on attempting to recreate
the work that eventually allowed
for the existence of Jason (and now his
son) in support of their drive to
benefit the general population at
large. Plus some of the mystery that
surrounded Jason becomes clearer,
further adding to Louise's somewhat
mixed emotions along the way.
Naturally, women's liberated and
uninhibited sexual attitudes continue to
dominate much of their behaviour... but
then, why not? Meanwhile, emotion and
sex each persistently cloud the issues
surrounding the other. Of course,
there's nothing very new in that and the
only real difference is the reversal of
roles experienced by men who thus tend
to be even more confused by the female
of our species than they are today, if
that's possible.

The Superior Gene
Book 3 - Justin
Destiny of The Gene |
Justin is the final part of the Superior
Gene trilogy. Describing the life of
Justin as an adult, this book reveals
more about the gene itself and where it
may have originated. It also explains
much of who and what is behind the
trials and tribulations that have faced
those who possess the gene, finally
unmasking the nature of those involved
and the full extent of evil intentions.
Will Justin and the “good guys” prevail,
or will they fail in their attempt to
start anew? It seems unlikely that the
gathering storm on Earth will leave them
untouched, however far away they may be.
In the end an interplanetary war is
threatened as the evil on Earth seeks to
destroy all opposition.
What, though, will be the outcome, as
the book even suggests a possible
destiny for humankind itself?

Seductive Chance |
Mike Farmer is an artist and, although
reasonably successful anyway, he's a
much better one than he initially
realises. Like many men of all ages, he
has a bit of a yen for Saddine, a sexy
twenty something jazz inspired pop singer
with an extremely raunchy stage act. By
chance, he actually meets her in London
and is amazed when they get talking and
she offers to sit for him.
Never the most egotistical of people and
something of a sucker when it comes to
women in trouble, from that accidental
meeting with Saddine onwards, his life
seems to explode as he muddles along
searching for success and artistic
fulfilment - or is he really looking for
love? Even he seems unsure of what it is
he wants.
But then, do any of us truly
want exactly what we think we want and
dream of - or do we mostly want what we
think we can't have?

Power Of The Gods |
A future Earth is ruled by largely
corrupt and often quite evil leaders.
Many of the current smaller countries
have banded together to form superstates
and, much as now, these superstates use
the appearance of democracy to hide the
true nature of their dictatorships.
However, something remarkable has been
discovered on Mars and one man is
determined that the corrupt regimes on
Earth, who are not thus far fully aware
of its nature, will not grab it for
their own and use
it to increase their iron grip on
mankind.
That man is Space Corps Commander Zen
Redmond and the Power Of The Gods is
principally the record of his struggle
to see that this new discovery is one
day used for the benefit of all
humanity, rather than just a despotic
few.
